PINKERTON'S

Rialto Studio was tasked with blending the new Pinkerton's Texas Pit Barbecue building into an adjacent urban park. The design team preserved an established canopy of mature live oaks while creating outdoor dining spaces in their shade. Views of the park and neighboring streets are kept open, and careful plantings establish an attractive boundary that blends with the park plantings. The landscape architects’ scope included site design, tree preservation and landscape ordinance compliance, planting and irrigation design, lighting design and construction observation.
